Streusel Coffee Cake
INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter
2 cups sour cream
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease as well as flour a ten inch pan. In a standard size bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and baking soda as one and put aside. In a separate tiny bowl, mix 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, along with nuts. Put aside.
In a huge bowl, cream butter and two cups white sugar until light and downy. Put in eggs, sour cream, along with vanilla extract. Put in flour mixture and beat until well mixed.
Pour half of batter into the pan. Add half of the nut combination on top of batter in pan. Put in remaining batter, and spray with the remaining the nut mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick slotted into cake comes out spotless.
