Aloha Avocado Pie

Description

Aloha avocado pie is a California favorite, so if you like avocado, you'll love this simple no cook Aloha avocado pie that is a mix of all fresh and healthy ingredients.

Ingredients

3 Whole Eggs; Separated
1/4 c Water
1 Whole 9" Crumb Pie Shell
1 cn (15 1/4 Oz) Pineapple Tidbits
1 Whole Envelope Plain Gelatin
1/3 c Sugar
1 md Avocado
1 ts Lemon Juice
1/4 ts Salt
3/4 c Sour Cream

Recipe

Sap pineapple, keeping syrup.

Beat as one egg yolks, syrup, and water.

Combine gelatin, 2 teaspoons sugar, with salt.

Mix with egg yolks and stir over low flame, cooking until gelatin is liquefied and then let it cool.

Sieve or pulp avocado and blend with lemon juice with sour cream.

Put in to gelatin batter.

Cool, stirring once or twice, until batter is somewhat settled and mounds.

Mix egg whites and beat; slowly include remaining sugar.

Fold gelatin batter and pineapple into egg whites.

Turn into crumb coating and let it cool at least 4 hours.
