Apple Crisp Recipe


Delicious apple fruit crisp recipe, you can make this fruit crisp with apple or pearwhatever you like the most. This fruit crisp recipe is one of the most requested recipes I ever made for my guests.


Peeled, cored, and sliced (about 2 1/4 pounds)
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
4 medium-size Golden Delicious apples, or Anjou pears or Barlett pears or a combination
Softened butter or margarine 1/2 cup
Water 1/2 cup
Lightly sweetened whipping cream for accompaniment (optional)


Preheat oven to 350*F (175*C).
Arrange apples or pears in a greased 8-inch square-baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and water; then mix evenly.
Then sugar and flour in a medium-sized bowl. Using a pastry blender to cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; evenly crumbs drop over fruit mixture.
Bake for 1 hour or until fruit is tender when pierced and crust is lightly browned.
Then if desired, Serve with a spoon of lightly sweetened whipped cream.
