Coffee Granita Dessert with Kahlua Liqueur

Description

Coffee granita recipe is a classic dessert recipe and Coffee granita dessert can be best served in a fresh brioche on breakfast table. You can also serve Coffee granita dessert as an after dinner refreshment at night.

Ingredients

Vanilla extract 1-1/2tsp
Brewed strong hot coffee 4 cups
Whipping cream 2 cups
Sugar 1 cup
Kahlua liqueur 2tabs
Chopped chocolate for garnish 1 tsp

Recipe

First, dissolve sugar in hot coffee. When the mixture cools slightly add the Kahlua liqueur, put into a  pan or bowl, and cover and freeze.

Use a fork or large spoon to scrape and to loosen the frozen granita to a fluffy slush consistency, then cover and return to the freezer.

Place 8 stemmed glasses in the freezer along with 8 iced tsp.

Then whip the cream and vanilla together to soft peaks. Fill each chilled stemmed glass halfway with granita then add whipped cream. Continue filling each glass with granita ending with whipped cream. Sprinkle the top with chopped chocolate and serve immediately with chilled iced tsp. (Serves 8)
